Programme in Honour and Celebration of the Life of Fred Lebow

A special programme in honour and celebration of the life of Fred Lebow was held at the United Nations on Tuesday, 18 October 1994, at 1 p. m. in the Dag Hammarskjold Auditorium.

For over 25 years Fred Lebow was an international figure in the running world who touched millions of sports enthusiasts, not only in New York but around the globe.

The ceremony was attended by Fred’s close friends and colleagues, and was co-sponsored by:

  • Sri Chinmoy: The Peace Meditation at the United Nations and
  • the United Nations Staff Recreation Council Athletics Club.

Included  are excerpts from the event.
