Members of the Peace Meditation at the United Nations attended the Memorial for Ravi Shankar on 20 December 2012. It was held at the Self-Realization Fellowship in Encinitas, California.

Sri Chinmoy the leader of the Peace Meditation at the UN  and Ravi Shankar had met on many occasions. Members of the Peace Meditation at the UN were often present and some times were part of the activities or associated performances.
