Harmony Concert, UNESCO Run Event, Art Exhibit: Paris 26 – 27 May 2005

Some members of the Peace Meditation at the UN were able to travel to Paris for three events between 26 and 27 May 2005

HARMONY CONCERT OFFERED IN PARIS

– Sri Chinmoy offered a World Harmony Concert at Le Cirque d’Hiver the evening of May 26.
About 1,500 people attended the Paris concert.

UNESCO HOSTS HARMONY RUN PROGRAM

 -A special ceremony in connection with the World Harmony Run was held at UNESCO headquarters here on May 27.
World Harmony Runners from several countries held the Harmony Torch, and Sri Chinmoy performed his spiritual music on several different instruments.
Vladimir Petrovsky, the former Director-General of the United Nations in Geneva, was one of the main speakers.
During the event, Sri Chinmoy dedicated his 12,000″ song to the soul of UNESCO.

ART EXHIBIT HELD IN LOUVRE

– A day-long exhibit of Sri Chinmoy’s Jhama-Kala paintings was held in the Carrousel of the Louvre on May 27.
Following an official reception, Sri Chinmoy offered a concert in an adjoining hall in connection with Oneness-Heart Tears and Smiles, the Sri Chinmoy Centre’s humanitarian aid organization.
The program included a slide show and presentation describing the Centre’s humanitarian activities.
