COMPOSER’S PREFACE
Sri Aurobindo’s last and greatest work is Savitri, the epitome of
spiritual autobiography. An epic of23,814 lines far surpassing in
height, depth and length any epic in Greek, Latin, English, Italian
or German, it is a New Veda for the New Age.
A few selected mantric utterances from Savitri the prayerful
singer-musician in me has set to music.
