The United Nations is a beacon of hope and goodwill for all the world. Since 1945 it has spread its message of brotherhood, peace and soulful sharing with people of all races and colours.  Sri Chinmoy has been a integral part of the United Nations community since 1968,when he gave his first talk “The Song Universal” at the Church Center for the United Nations. 

In 1970 then Secretary-General U Thant invited him to hold regular peace meditations at its headquarters. Sri Chinmoy has continued to offer twice-weekly meditations since that time for ambassadors, UN officials and other world leaders who have attended. In honour of the 50th anniversary of the UN, and the 25th anniversary of Sri Chinmoy’s peace meditations, collected here are questions and answers by Sri Chinmoy at the United Nations, encompassing his vision of world peace and spiritual growth. This book complements The Garland of Nations Souls , a volume of Sri Chinmoy’s talks at the United Nations which was published by Health Communications (USA)

Also, how can you reconcile the idea of a nation’s karma with the fact that you have within the nation millions of people with their own karmic pasts?
