World Family Day – Connecticut for UN Family 1984 May 27 + July

Come to the beautiful countryside of Connecticut for an afternoon of fun and joy at the Old Greenwich Civic Center,
from noon to 4 p.m. on
Sunday, May 27.
Admission is free.
There will be entertaining circus acts from Medal Circus, musical performances of Blue Grass music by the Tubbs Family Band and music for peace played by Tomorrow’s Heart instrumental group.
There will be meditation lessons, as well as instruction in hatha yoga, karati, vegetarian cooking and tennis – all without charge.
For the athletically minded, a volley ball tournament and series of grand prix foot races will be held. In the grand prix, contestants will accumulate points according to how they place in the 1/4, 1/2 and 2 mile distances. Prizes will go to those with the highest point totals in their age categories.
Booths will sell handcrafted jewelry, Bonzai plants and spring nursery stock, designer stationery, candies and various vegetarian dishes and more~ For the children there will be running events, games and supervised play; (parents will be able to participate in the fun~)
“World Family Day” is being offered as a community service by:
