The Peace Meditation at the United Nations

27 June 1983-Concert for peace in honour of UN Charter Day  –

A special concert took place on Monday, 27 June.

The concert featured Sri Chinmoy performing original  compositions on the flute,  Indian esraj and harmonium. 

As well, members of the Meditation  Group presented  vocal and instrumental  ensembles.

The concert was held in the Dag Hammarskjold Auditorium at 6:00 p.m.

 

As part of the event, Anuka Silwal of Nepal presented an award to Sri Chinmoy on behalf of the Delegates’ Wives’ Meditation Group  for his contributions to world peace
