New Voices includes Cyprus, Brazil, Bahamas 1982 Sep 14
Filed under Music and Songs14 September 1982 The meditation Group organized a programme that brought forth the sharing of artistic talent from three counties in the NY diplomatic community. This “New Voices” event provided a much-appreciated interlude from the regular speeches and statements more often heard in the UN Headquarters. The event took place in the Dag Hammarskjold Auditorium.[i]

Called New Voices it included Amb. Rossides of Cyprus, presenting his own Poetry.
Ambassador Davidson Hepburn of the Bahamas deeply moved all who were present with a stirring performance of the popular song, “I Believe,” as well as works by Mozart and Franck.
Mrs. Stela Brandao. Attache from the Mission of Brazil an accomplished singer, performed works by Mozart, Puccini and, most notably, a work by Brazilian composer Villa-Lobos.
