UNESCO Festival Concert in Paris

On 30 May 1978 the music of Sri Chinmoy was featured as part of a week-long International Festival of United nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization ( UNESCO ) in Paris.

At the request of the Paris UNESCO Club, which sponsored the Festival, a concert of twenty-seven songs was performed by the Sri Chinmoy Song-Waves Choir, a group of 31 musicians hailing from England, France, Germany, Scotland, Sweden and Switzerland, conducted by the well-known French composer and conductor Olivier Greif.

The Song-Waves Choir has also performed Mr. Greif’s strikingly beautiful choral arrangements of Sri Chinmov’s music on several occasions at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
