Three of Sri Chinmoy’s aphorisms appeared in the 1975 edition of UNICEF’s Engagement Calendar, which is distributed worldwide.

Dear Mr. Sri Chinmoy,

We are writing to request permission to use the following quotations taken from your book, “Meditations, Food for the Soul.

1)     Knowledge manifested, wisdom grows. Wisdom manifested, spirituality soars.

2)    Human achievements ue relative but not man’s divine worth. His divine worth is the absolute Truth of his inner Self.

3)    Conviction can be enlarged and surmounted. Don’t halt. There is no end to your discovery.

4)     To help humanity is to see Unity.

To serve humanity is to earn Divinity.

To possess humanity is to welcome Multiplicity.

We would very much like to include these lines in the 1975 edition of our Engagement Calendar, which is being assembled at this time. This edition will be illustrated by fifty-four artists from thirty-one countries and suitable lines of verse and quotations, mostly of an inspirational nature, are to be placed under each illustration (one for each week of the year) in both English an~ original quotes in French or Spanish , Portuguese, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish. Three of Sri Chinmoy’s aphorisms appeared in the 1975 edition of UNICEF’s Engagement Calendar, which is distributed worldwide.
